On 05 October 2023 I bid farewell to the role of Head of Urbanism at the Amsterdam Academy of Architecture. In my speech, I looked back on six years in that role and what has been achieved, but I also looked forward to what the future of urbanism and urbanism education holds.
After that my successor Anna Gasco laid out, what she will be focussing on in the years to come.
Together, it gives an overview of what Urbanism at the Amsterdam Academy of Architecture stands for in times of dramatic changes to cities and the way we live on this planet.
